As we know, Pep Guardiola closes in on his last season for Barça. In his short management career he has one 13 trophies, perhaps 14 at the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao. Tito Vilanova will be replacing Guardiola at the start of the next season, but he has some very large shoes to fill. I’m not just saying that because Pep wears winkle pickers either.

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that something is too competitive. Once you subtract the people who don’t work very hard, or the people who aren’t as good as you, your competition shrinks dramatically.

Weekday Weekend

Yesterday I decided not to go into the office. All of my deadlines were complete, and it looked as though it would be a smooth ending to a busy week. That being said, Jeannie and I started the day thrifting, and some last minute shopping at target for the new house.

I heard on the radio that the Humane Society was in desperate need of shoe boxes for the kittens. We were able to drop off about 4 or 5 shoe boxes before I got called into the office for an emergency deadline that had to hit press in 2 hours. It was a fundraiser event for the fire that happened on Whiskey Row. Once that was finished, I had Adam tie up the loose ends so I could actually leave again.

Now it’s Friday, which surprisingly feels like Monday… but I know in just a few more hours it will be the weekend. I’m so thankful to work in an office that closes up on the weekends. That way I have 2 solid days of stress free, deadline free laziness to recoup for the following week.

We got the house! We’re so excited to be living on Alarcon street. It’s less than a ten minute walk to the office, all hardwood floors, and a HUGE back yard… with GRASS! Grass in Arizona! Now I’m looking through craigslist trying to find some neighborhood kid who will mow it every couple of weeks. We’re moving in sometime next week, so I’ll post pictures.

What a perfect song for a rainy day. Jeannie and I upgrading our subscription to XM radio, and the best part of it is I can listen to it online also. That means it’s all I’ve been listening to at the office, which is perfect for a gloomy day.

I think we’re actually going to be moving into this home on Alarcon. How exciting!!! I drove by it this morning before work, and I even went through the alley. I cannot believe how big the back yard is! We already decided that we’re going to put a goal post back there for backyard BBQs. I can’t wait to post pictures of it (if we actually get it)

Sad day at Camp Nou this evening. Even worse considering Barça’s loss to Chelsea last weekend. Looks like Madrid might be on their way to Liga Champions and leaving Barça to fend for themselves once again against Chelsea. Fingers crossed.
